Student Profile: Biology

Hi! I’m Allison, a junior Biology and Chemistry Major here at IU. Although I am from South Jersey, I do consider IU my home away from home. In my pursuit of a career as a medical doctor, IU has opened my eyes to multiple possibilities.

My research on Scoliosis began freshman year in genetics class and I am now working on it with a doctor at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

This past summer was fantastic! I shadowed that doctor, who is a neurosurgeon, in the operating room and was totally blown away by the experience. I look forward to the road ahead of me, knowing that Immaculata has fortified me for the journey.
